I will start out by saying I am not a fan of distance learning. I am the type of person that is very sociable and hands-on so staring at a computer all day is not fun. I am the type of person that needs a schedule every day and to leave the house and be around people. I feel that distance learning makes people less motivated. When I am a teacher, I will try to make the class more interactive and fun so students actually want to come to class and participate. Open Educational Resources are resources online that anyone can use to teach, learn, and even research. OER has no cost and does not require permission from anyone to access it. Examples of these are open textbooks, online tutorials, streaming videos, etc. The link below includes videos, descriptions, and breakdowns of a US history book. OER US History Book I really enjoyed doing the 2 PowerPoint assignments. Making presentations has always been fun and came easy to me. I did not know that I could make interactive activities throu

I learned a lot from this assignment  including hyperlinks and formatting.  I really enjoyed this  assignment  because it is more interactive. I find things like this fun and get excited to do these assignments.  I’m not sure what my future career will be yet but I know for a lot of jobs, you need to be able to do things like this and just being able to organize and format in general will help me in my career. Link to Website      I like  Diigo  because you not only work on things alone, but with your peers also. I feel that no matter what you do in life, you must be able to communicate with people and  diigo  helps people communicate better.  Diigo  helps you find articles and share them with people you may work with or just  the public. It all depends on what you are using it for.     Teachers have to deal with technology a lot more than most think.  They are tasked with making assignments and creating websites and quizzes and such things , so they must have the appropriate technol

I have visited a few class pages and noticed that they are all pretty similar. Most of them will include a calendar for the class, meet the teacher page, teacher contact info, and more. The specific class page I chose was Mrs. Moody's Home Page. This is because she also included parent links, practice problems, and even a link for STEM fair ideas. If I was a student or even a parent, I think I would find this homepage helpful. https://teachers.stjohns.k12.fl.us/moody-s/     I envision myself using Nearpod. I have not used this before but from reading reviews and descriptions, it sounds like it would come in handy. You can make lesson plans, presentations, assessments, and more while tracking students' progress. I think it is very important to keep track of students' progress because you must know how they are doing in order to help them.     This was my first time working on a wiki platform and like everything, there were pros and cons to it. I liked that we were abl

I have never used Diigo up until this semester. I'm not quite sure of what my opinion of Diigo is yet but I am trying to mess around with it more and get a better understanding. I really enjoy the fact that I can bookmark an article for my group. I am still confused as to how to annotate articles through Diigo and create highlights and sticky notes though.     I have also never blogged before until this class. I was not too thrilled about blogging at first but now that I know how to do it, I kind of actually enjoy writing blogs every week. I like blogging because it is not formal and not everything has to be completely perfect. I also like that we get to give our own opinions through blogs.     I feel that if I were a teacher, I would use youtube a lot in my classroom. I think youtube has a lot more to offer than most people realize. There are tutorials, explanations, reviews, and much more. I decided to choose youtube because one of my professors actually used youtube yesterd

I have never been a fan of Twitter and I'm still not, to be honest. I don't know if it's just me, but Twitter is so confusing. I have been messing around with it a bit lately but I cannot find my way around the app yet and get lost easily. I feel that learning how to use Twitter could be beneficial for me in my future career because it will help me connect with others around the world.     The digital divide affects the student's success by making learning unfair and gives different students different opportunities and experiences. Some causes of the digital divide may include low income, low literacy, and unable to physically access technology. I would expect to have to deal with the digital divide if I were a teacher and have an idea of how I may be able to make things a little easier. I would try to keep all technology-related work in the classroom and when they go home, they would have paperwork or some other form of homework that does not include digital acces

The grade level I chose is Kindergarten because that's just the grade I envision myself teaching if I ever were to become a teacher. In this standard, the children need to be able to explore new technological skills in order to produce and publish writing. They must be able to work with peers and can use the guidance and support of adults. The technology tools needed are  SmartBoards, online storybook creators, and paint programs. I feel that I am prepared to implement this standard due to the fact that I am familiar with most of the technical skills needed for this grade.     I would use the recourse called sweet sorting. You give the students different kinds of candies and have them sort the candies by color. Then you do it again, except with shapes, sizes, and counting/numbers. I would use this in my classroom because it is a fun way to keep the kids interactive and listening. This activity also doesn't focus on just one area which I like. By this, I mean they practice

When someone has a copyright for their work, they have the right to use it or distribute it to whomever they please, and if someone uses it, they must give credit to the original owner. Fair use is a set of guidelines that allows users to copy materials for non-profit educational purposes. Fair use depends on how the work is used, how much of it is used, and how its use affects its value. As a teacher, I would have my students cite all the work they use and educate the students more on the laws and consequences of not abiding by the rules. One of the  technology implementation issues that stood out to me was lack of funding. This is because I believe you do not need money to get an education. I feel that part of a teacher's job is to be creative and come up with new ways of teaching the students. Decreased Productivity was another one that stood out to me because again, creativity comes in. If students are bored and not doing work or learning anything, maybe the teacher should com
